How To Reduce The Risk Of Prostate Cancer

How to reduce the risk of prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men. Although there is no clear way to prevent prostate cancer, there are still several ways you can keep your body in good condition and reduce the chances of cancer developing, even if your family members have it.
1.  Determining Lifestyle Choices
1. Understanding risk factors: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men and is the second most common cancer overall, after lung cancer. Regarding prostate cancer, it is very important for you to know the factors that can make this disease develop.
Age: Prostate cancer usually affects men aged 50 years and over. Very rare for young men, but the risk of this cancer increases with age.
Hereditary History: Men with a family history of prostate cancer among families, whether father, brother or uncle, have a greater risk of cancer.
Race: Men of African-American descent have higher rates of prostate cancer than white men, and usually this disease can be fatal.
Hormones: The way your body produces testosterone can affect the development of prostate cancer. If there is too much testosterone in your body that is converted to DHT (an important hormone in the right amount) then it can cause your prostate to dilate, which can cause cancer risk.

2. Exercise regularly. Several studies have shown that men who are physically active and exercise regularly can reduce the development of prostate cancer. Some studies also show we can further reduce this risk if you exercise more regularly.
Aerobic exercise is the best type of exercise to prevent disease because it contains all the health benefits, including smoother circulation, a better immune system and increased energy levels.
Examples of aerobic exercise are running, swimming, mountain biking, dancing, spinning and rowing. Find aerobic activities you enjoy so you will be more comfortable doing it.
You also need to stay physically active in your daily life. Go up the stairs instead of taking an elevator, park your car away from work or use a standing table instead of using a table with chairs.
I advise you to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity almost every day of the week.

3. Keep your weight in a healthy weight. Fat men have a greater risk of prostate cancer compared to men with a healthy weight.
If you have a BMI (Body Mass Index) or a weight index of over 30, then you can be categorized as obese. If that happens to you, then you need to reduce weight through a combination of healthy food and exercise.
Consult with a doctor to understand a healthy diet plan to ensure that you can reduce weight at a healthy and effective level. Some tips on weight loss include reducing the consumption of processed foods and increasing the intake of fruits, vegetables and seeds, reducing the amount of food and eating on smaller dishes, eating at a slower tempo and not eating food in less than three hours before going to bed.
If you already have a healthy weight, try to remember by eating healthy foods and exercising regularly.

4. Be careful with supplements. There is a lot of inaccurate information related to supplements that can prevent the risk of prostate cancer. Taking supplements will not have a significant impact on preventing or increasing disease progression. However, you need to be careful about:
Vitamin E: Research conducted to examine the effects of vitamin E supplements (taken in combination with selenium supplements) on the risk of prostate cancer found that vitamin E can increase the risk of prostate cancer and continue even if someone has stopped taking it.
Folic Acid: Folic Acid is a synthetic form of vitamin B it contains which in many multivitamins and supplements. Research conducted over ten years shows that men who consume 1 mg of folic acid per day can increase their risk of prostate cancer. However, folate (a natural vitamin B in green vegetables and nuts) has been shown to reduce the risk of disease.
Zinc: By taking the recommended dose, zinc minerals can help reduce the risk of prostate cancer. Lack of mineral zinc can have the opposite effect and increase the risk of disease. Therefore, you need to test your zinc mineral levels before taking supplements.

5. Do more intimate relationships. Research shows that men who have sex/masturbation 5 or more times a week can reduce the chance of prostate cancer to grow by 34% before reaching 70 years.
The researcher explained that the reason for this was that semen containing carcinogenic substances (which cause cancer) was released through ejaculation.
According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, ejaculation over 12 times per month is very important to provide all forms of protection against prostate cancer.

6. Consult a doctor. Men, especially those over 50 years old, need to consult a doctor if they believe they are at risk of prostate cancer.
If your doctor says you are at high risk, he will be careful to reduce the risk of cancer by limiting prostate growth. The two forms of treatment being applied are finasteride and dutasteride.
Your doctor can treat prostate-specific antigen tests (PSA) to find out if you need to do a biopsy. This is the first step in early detection that provides good benefits in cancer treatment.
2.  Change your diet
1 Follow a low-fat diet. Eating high-fat foods such as red meat, dairy products, oil and nuts is associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer.
A study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health showed that men who consumed high levels of fat (almost 90 mg per day) had twice the risk of developing prostate cancer compared to those who consumed lower fat (less than 55 mg per day).
Therefore, reducing fat intake is a good thing to do. You can do this by reducing the amount of oil or butter used when cooking, using animal fat products that have a lower fat such as turkey or fish than red meat, and choosing low-fat products in supermarkets.

2. Eat oily fish. Oily fish such as tuna, salmon, freshwater fish, and sardines contain high levels of healthy fats such as Omega-3.
Taking high levels of Omega-3 as part of your daily diet has been shown to reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
If you don't like fish, you can get Omega-3 from processed grains, we can find which in flour, cornflour and other seeds.

3.  Eat more fruits and vegetables. Take lots of fruits and vegetables in your healthy diet, because these natural foods contain lots of vitamins and minerals. However, there are several types of fruits and vegetables that are associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer:
Tomatoes: Tomatoes contains high levels of antioxidants called lycopene, it proves which to reduce the risk of prostate cancer in men. The content of lycopene can be optimized by frying tomatoes with oil before consumption.
Broccoli: Broccoli is a cross vegetable that contains phytochemical that can reduce carcinogens (cancer-causing substances) in the body. Therefore, eating broccoli along with other cross vegetables such as kale, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and book choy can help reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

4. Eat less milk. Research shows that consuming dairy products is associated with a higher risk of prostate cancer.
At first they considered this because of the high levels of saturated fat in dairy products. However, new research shows that calcium is a major factor in this.
You can reduce calcium intake by reducing or not even consuming dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt. Choose soybean calcium as an alternative.

5. Reduce intake of red meat. Eating high amounts of animal protein, especially red meat, is associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer.
This is because the consumption of red meat can produce IGF-1 and choline in the body, and it closely relates both substances to prostate cancer.
Try limiting your intake of red meat in two or fewer presentations a week and choose lower body fat when shopping for meat.

6. Drink red wine. Red wine contains an antioxidant called resveratrol, which can help inhibit prostate cancer cell growth.
Therefore, drinking a glass or two small glasses of red wine can help reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
Be sure not to drink the recommended amount (at least don't overeat) because alcohol can neutralize the beneficial effects.

7. Take advantage of the power of herbs. Researchers from the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York show that certain herbal blends we sell, which in the form of Zyflamend, can reduce prostate cancer cell growth.
The herbal mixture contains rosaries, ginger and spices, and has been shown to reduce cancer cell growth by 78%.
Another herbal mixture that has a positive result is FBL 101. Ask your doctor about this herbal treatment.

8. Drink green tea. Research shows that men who drink green tea regularly (which also contains antioxidants) can reduce the development of prostate cancer.
Try to drink at least one glass of green tea in one day or by taking green tea supplements.

9. Consume more soybeans. Nutrition called isoflavone believed to be contained in soybean processed products can reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
You can increase your soybean intake by drinking soy milk and eating tofu a food substitute for soybean meat.
We find other sources of isoflavone in nuts and beans such as beans, lentils and red beans.
10. Do not consume alcohol excessively. Although there is no conclusive evidence that alcohol can increase the risk of developing prostate cancer, a study found that people who consumed alcohol a few glasses per day for years had higher rates of prostate cancer.
If you consume alcohol, limit only two glasses per day.
Tips
Consult a chiropractor practitioner to adjust the lower back, which can help reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
Warning
If you experience pain in both thighs, you need to consult a doctor ASAP, because this shows prostate cancer.
